Owned and operated by Noy Phongsavan, along with her siblings and children, Ginger Thai Bistro is truly a family-run restaurant built on passion, tradition, and the love of sharing real Thai cuisine with the community. Every dish is prepared with authentic ingredients, bold seasonings, and recipes inspired by the flavors of Thailand.

After the success of their first restaurant, Ginger Thai in Nashville, which opened in October 2010, the family expanded and proudly opened Ginger Thai Bistro in Murfreesboro in July 2018. Since then, the restaurant has become a local favorite for guests craving fresh, flavorful, and authentic Thai food served in a welcoming atmosphere.

Noy Phongsavan

Owner and chef Noy Phongsavan brings more than authentic Thai recipes to Ginger Thai Bistro — she brings a lifetime of family tradition, hospitality, and love for bringing people together through food.

Noy came to the United States as a teenager and grew up in Nashville alongside her six siblings, with Noy being the youngest of the family. Her father and brothers owned and operated a local Asian grocery store in Nashville for over 25 years, where the family built deep roots within the community and shared their culture through food and connection.

Growing up, family dinners were one of the most important parts of Noy’s childhood. No matter how busy life became, her parents always made it a priority for everyone to sit down together each evening — sharing stories about their day, laughter, conversations, and homemade meals around the table. Those moments created the foundation for Noy’s passion for food, family, and serving others.

Today, that same warmth and tradition live on through Ginger Thai Bistro. Noy is passionate about creating delicious, authentic Thai dishes using fresh, clean ingredients and bold flavors that make people feel at home. To her, food is more than just a meal — it’s a way to connect, create memories, and bring people together, just like it did throughout her loving childhood.

Together with her siblings and children, Noy continues to make Ginger Thai Bistro a welcoming place where guests can experience not only authentic Thai cuisine, but also the heart and hospitality behind every dish.
